I've been tracking the number of outages on Centerpoint's website. "Customers restored" has gone way up in the last hour. They're definitely working on it.
An authorized repair shop in Tomball called me back (which was surprising). He said they're not taking any work for at least 3 weeks and turn around time is 6-8 weeks in general. So even if I had gotten off my ass when I discovered the issue I'd still be in the same boat.

My parents live in 77381 and are on a grid tied to Memorial Hermann and the main fire station. I would be stunned if it's past the morning for them. Not sure where you're located but if that is true, that absolutely sucks and is very surprising.

I live in 77381and have for 22 years and never knew it was tied to the hospital.
I would think the hospital is on some strong generators but we usually don't lose power much or for too long. Ike we may have been out a week though, hard to remember.

I'm Lake Woodlands and New Trails. Text message from Entergy said they are out assessing and think it'll be multiple days.
