So far six power surges in cypress at 290/barker but thankfully it keeps coming back on.

Watching the news, it's amazing watching people plow through pools of water. At least they don't have their flashers on.

This is accurate for the whole day right? It looks like I might have dodged a bullet, but the spring area and the woodlands is going to get hammered
If you still have power, crank it down to 65 in case it goes out!texasaggie2015 said:Serviam said:

It appears I did not in fact sleep through it.
I'll never understand anyone giving Herzog hate. The dude has always come off as super smart and a genuinely good/caring guy. Plus a proud Ag.redag06 said:Madmarttigan said:
So I guess Herzog fear mongering called it right. All the worst of it dead eyeing Houston.
This is why I didn't get yalls hate on Herzog, he seemed to be right all along on this one.

Anyone out in this mess that isn't an essential personnel needs to get checked out.

Nearly a mil without power now. Can't believe people downplayed this storm.
The gauge at White Oak/Heights hasn't reported in almost two hours.Jugstore Cowboy said:
Got a text from Harris County FWS. If I'm reading the chart right, the gauge shows 2.5 inches since midnight. Does that sound right?

You will lose power in a hurricane. That's the baseline. Wind damage or flooding are what you want to avoid. Some of us have lived here a long time and gone thru many storms. So we have seen the worst and the relatively best.

This is from Ventusky. Is that 105 at Sugar Land right?
Rain is outpacing the stormwater system. Ditches are completely full on my street. I'm guessing 11th will be at least partially flooded over the next couple of hours until the rain slows down.MAS444 said:
When's the wind supposed to slack off in central Houston/Heights area? Nervous about a few nearby trees. Also curious how 11th at is holding up water/flood wise.
