This guy has about 10 storm chasers scattered throughout this mess that he routinely checks-in on. Looking pretty hairy in Sergent, Lake Jackson, Freeport, and Surfside. One chaser clocked 85mph winds in Surfside. Y'all stay safe.

Ryan Hall is pretty good if you want to see multiple chasers at once along with the radar. Probably going to have him on as I go asleep just to keep up to date with any changes as it comes ashore

neighborhood I just moved in to is apparently pretty notorious for losing power…..with it likely happening overnight went ahead and got all the important stuff out of fridge and on ice in coolers….

My neighborhood wasn't even hit, and neighbors have still been on a tree purging binge ever since the direcho. Haven't seen this much wood piled up since Ike. So yeah, hopefully that means less danger to power lines now.
