Wow, my generator has a 14-50R receptacle and my extension cord is 14-50P so I'm pretty screwed if our power goes out after all that preparation. I can't even seem to find anywhere that sells 14-50P to SS2-50R Twist Lock cords online. ****.

God forbid someone that is actually in a hazardous situation need to use their flashers and look like the 100 other morons driving. Hope you don't ever need to change lanes either. Additionally, why can't people see you when your lights are on which energizes your taillights? GTFO of here.
Your cable can connect to the generator. Sounds like what you need is a power inlet box for the twist lock connection.

I just sold my spare one this morning. I ran into the same issue during el derecho. There was a poster on here in the Conroe area that volunteered to loan me one, maybe he'll pop in? Closest I could buy on short notice was a camper store in CS for $350. I subsequently bought two off Amazon for a fraction of the price. Any same day delivery deals on there?

Nope, I have that. The plug I have has a rounded ground prong and the generator has a squared one and there's a fair but of resistance when I try to plug it in so I don't want to break anything.

Nope and I honestly don't even see any of the proper cords on Amazon at all. Best I can find is a plug that I can wire up myself and it won't be here until Thursday. None of the local hardware stores have anything. I texted my electrician but I don't expect any traction on a Sunday this late in the game.
