Rock bottom. We made it. 
The fat lady has started singing and the fork got inserted at the same time. This season is officially cooked and done.
There will be some excitement along the way once we're not a MASH unit but October baseball is no longer in the cards.
For the first time in 7 seasons there will be an ALCS played without the Astros.
What a run it was.
Let's hope Schloss and the boys can fill the void over the next few days and then Elko picks up the torch Labor Day Weekend.

It's just so tough seeing such bad baseball out of a club that shouldn't be near this bad. They're practically unwatchable at this point.

Feels like a totally different ball club top to bottom than years past. Pitching, Hitting, Coaching, Roster Management.

So, are they sellers at the trade deadline and rush to hit rock bottom, or do the Uncle Drayton method and add more washed up players and hope for a miracle? We could certainly use more pitching and a real first baseman.
The frustrating thing is that if you look at year to date WAR, the MLB rankings are:
1. Dodgers - 27.1
2. Yankees - 26.3
3. Phillies
4. Orioles
5. Braves
6. Astros - 25.3
...
12. Mariners - 22.7
....
32. Rockies - 10.8
Almost every single break has gone against the Astros so far this year.
The Astros are closer in talent to the Yankees and Phillies than the Mariners, yet are 10 games back of the Mariners.
If everyone was healthy I would still believe that a playoff run is coming. But not with the injuries which have become laughable at this point.
Either this is the worst luck I've seen for any team in a long time, or the organization is slowly decaying and support functions have become very subpar, dragging down the inherited talent level with poor management and injuries.
