Where is the best spot to park for a headache free trip to Terminal E for an afternoon Global Entry interview?
Yes, I was about to say that I'm impressed he got a slot.HtownWilly12 said:

It's been a few years since I did my renewal....it was so bad that I didn't get an interview within a year....so had to reapply (and repay). I didn't sign up for the 3rd party notifications and wasn't checking daily, but I was checking regularly.AggieStan said:

Do you have to have an international ticket to do the walk in interview? I am flying out of Bush in July, but domestic. Would be nice to show up a little early and knock this out.

I just did this a month ago and the process was go through regular customs and tell them you want to do your interview then go to a separate line to do your global entry interview. There was no office visit. Unfortunately, the line also serves "refugees" of which there was a massive line. Many wearing Jordan's and the like. Must have been a pretty harrowing trek to escape whatever they are escaping. Several instances the refugees took precedence over citizens who paid extra for an added service. The whole thing definitely gave some new meaning to the term global entry.
I think this is the norm. I know about a dozen people that got it renewed without an interview. I was not one of the lucky ones.CDUB98 said:
Somehow, just a few months ago, I got my expired Global Entry renewed without a new interview. How did that happen?
They obviously didn't look into my posting history here.Quote:
No idea how they decide who gets to get by with no interview or not.

I just completed mine today with interview but this was not a renewal, it was a new application. I struggled to get a date set as well but like I posted earlier you need to set a few alarms to log in on the day of the last available appointment and something will open up. I can't remember if it was that day or the next day but times were finally available and I chose one that week. Parking in C and taking tram over was easy for actual interview.mnetop said:It is the norm. That's correct. My wife and i did ours in Austin a couple months ago. Once you get the interview scheduled and make the appointment time, you are good to go, unless you have any skeletons in your closet!htxag09 said:haha!BohunkAg said:A few 20s to grease the process.AggieStan said:

In all reality the hardest part of the process is getting an interview. The actual "interview" takes like 5 minutes and is just a formality.
