23 inches??? Am I reading that correctly???

Yeah, based on that particular model. Things will keep changing, but sounds like this kicks off on Tuesday, with Tuesday and Wednesday being the worst two days.

Forever after to be referred to as "The Juneteenth Flood".

Mother in Law is suppose to fly in Wednesday and we were gonna drive up to Georgetown on Friday. None of that may be happening now.

Considering how bad the forecasts have been lately, I halfway expect this week to be a dry affair.

Curious what you guys think about a flight out of Houston at 6:15am Wednesday. Do y'all think I'll be safe or no?

Would be a no go for me. Looking at more and more development with lots of bad weather. Joe *******i of Weather Bell the definitive source advises there will be lots of rain and does not discount the possibility of straight line winds and/or tornadoes. He foresees 12 inches of rain in the area, with winds in the 40-50 mph range. He added there will be a training effect for several days leading to saturated soils.

Better get those generators ready to go the way it is looking. Power is going to be affected big time with the soil being saturated. Trees are going to fall.

Watched Harold Taft this morning he is also forecasting lots of rain and thinks this may break the drought in the hill country. Those of you buying hay after this heavy rain, be careful of purchasing moldy hay. A lot will be sitting in water soaked fields especially in the gulf coast area. Horse owners be aware smell the hay to make sure there is no mold.

Livingston is 1.9' above normal. Lots of rain will be a problem.

I've got to be in Tuesday AM in Corpus Christi, driving down tomorrow night. Closed Wednesday in observance of Juneteenth, resumes Thursday. So I either get to spend the off day holed up in a hotel room on the coast or drive home through the monsoon Tuesday night only to make the return trip Wednesday.

Plea them out, collect your fee and call it a day. If civil ask for a continuance and tack on a few more hours on your clients bill.

I sure hope that you are not representing Allstate Insurance Company. Several months ago I was a juror in a case involving them. After hearing all of the evidence I was sick in my stomach how they treated their own policy holder who was involved in a major accident. Needless to say, everyone felt the same way and we awarded the max to the plaintiff.

Rain forecast for the week easing up.

Yesterday SCW showed 5-10" for the metro area, this morning it's 3-7".

If I'm reading this correct, weather underground is forecasting about 2.5" over the next week of total rain accumulation for Houston. Far cry from the 25" + snuff forecast posted previously.

I'm not a weather expert but isn't GFS pretty inaccurate on tropical forecasting? So better to look at Euro?

Someone posted GFS showing 20"+ but I don't think SCW even looks at that forecast when looking at tropical systems. Could be wrong though.
