Neighbor across the street has a 30' pine leaning on another in their backyard. Next door neighbor has a 40' pine tree leaning on their covered patio. My house is in the path if the one next door falls.

Tree crew just showed up across the street. Those guys have balls of steel.

Not surprised due to the compression of the already high winds...

Free firewood at my place. Lost some big tree limbs and a side fence. Neighbor lost a magnolia.

Dang. Magnolias, if it's established, usually flex pretty well and handle wind better than a hardwood tree.

If only people had something they carry around in their pocket they could use to access websites without being plugged into a wall…

Well damn that was gnarly!

Here in Spring Branch and just missed a couple huge pine tree limbs. There's debris everywhere. Trees down and lawn furniture all over. I've never seen wind like that.

This is one street over

I got stuck with the kids at Pinchos (by Goode Co Seafood on Gessner and 10) when the storm hit. The power went out and saw some big electrical flashes so we hunkered down in the bathroom. Water started coming under the doors and there was a good amount of their floor covered.
Kids were freaked out for a bit but eventually felt better. Made it home dodging large tree limbs, and flooded intersections. Did a lot of parking lot driving to get home.

Same for us in the Heights. As soon as trees started going we huddled in the hallway. That **** was crazy.

Same. In the heights as well. Lived in Houston my whole life and have been through some weather events but this was the first time I was a bit scared. First time I have ever huddled in hallway.
