Yep, Cypress rain and lightning are nuts right now.Agz_2003 said:

I live in Riverchase (section 1) and think we'll be fine. The houses at the very end of the cul de sac that are street level may get a bit dicey over the next couple of days. I went and grabbed my youngest out of preschool at Good Shepherd around 11:30 and took Mills Branch to Northpark to Woodand Hills, and was fine. The stop sign on Woodland Hills by St. Martha's school was fine going south, but there was high water on the NB lanes with a van sitting in it. I cut through Bear Branch and Sand Creek to get home and everything there looked fine. My wife is a teacher and was told Kingwood Dr by the HS was impassible, but that may have changed by now since it stopped raining.South Platte said:
Anybody hear of which Kingwood neighborhoods are flooding? It could get worse over next couple of days as East Fork buries us. Woodstream, River Bend, RiverChase. Any info would be great.

Too bad your house isn't an airport.
You can go to https://www.harriscountyfws.org/ and select the Inundation Map option to see how far the San Jac and Lake Houston are out of their banks. When you zoom into the back of Kingwood, you can see how close the water is to the houses.Wycliffe said:
Lina telling people along the eastfork to evacuate. Is this really just a couple of feet away from Harvey levels?
She literally just said "you have two choices, stay for 2-3 days or leave."
