Where are you? If you've got an issue with your system, you'd have likely seen evidence of it by now. Your pipes underground are okay.
Wet weather stating Monday into mid week. Heavy rainfall is possible which may lead to street flooding and rises on area creeks, bayous, and rivers. #houwx #txwx pic.twitter.com/i8yOy0FG6o

At least in the rain the idiots on the freeway drive slow and throw on flashers. In the ice they just slam on the brakes as they plow in to one another.
Water in the ball valve, mine did that 2 yrs ago. I turn off at 45* angles and bought a sleeve cover for it.rilloaggie said:
They were open 90 degrees. It split at the inlet valve so I assume some water was trapped at or just above that.
This pic is from this morning, petcocks are closed from yesterday afternoon when I was trying to fire everything back up.

Looks like military CHAFF over DFW pic.twitter.com/LsSXv5Hyr0

Quote:
Chaff is the name given to tiny glass fibers covered in aluminum metal. Developed by the British and Germans independently during World War II, its purpose is to confuse enemy radar to make it more difficult to detect aircraft during wartime. It is dropped by airplanes and spreads widely with the wind as it falls. Chaff is often used offshore during local military training exercises, and NWS meteorologists note its appearance on radar several dozen times a year just off Cape Fear.
