In regards to Bun B's Takeover: The actual show itself was great. All but a couple songs had the crowd up on their feet. The logistics however, were a nightmare. I don't think I have ever been to a rodeo that was this packed/congested. Just a sea of people everywhere outside and inside. In the lower levels people couldn't get up and down the stairs to their seats because people were just standing in the stairwell to watch the concert. Pretty much asses to elbows on the concourse, ramp, escalator, etc. Getting to the parking lot and out, same story.

Haven't been in years. My daughter and I are going tomorrow… it's supposed to rain. Not sure about the logistics for getting in due and into the show. Anyone have suggestions.
I parked in the blue lot on Tuesday and I think from now on I will be going back to the Fannin park and ride that drops off by the dome. Pay $20 or $25 cash to park in the lot and the rail trip is free.Furlock Bones said:

I'm officially an old man - took the kids down just for stock show, lunch & carnival early today for a few hours … what a beating. Nuts to butts spring break folks and sh*tloads of daycare/big brothers groups. It was also hot as taint.

Yellow cash lot works well until it fills up. I believe you can check capacity on rodeo website/ app.
Maybe COH/Harris County should get their **** together and work on a plan to fix that absolute nightmare that 610 and the parking situation is during HLSR.bigjag19 said:
Maybe plan to be there early next time
in what universe is there a way to have zero traffic at an event that has over 100,000 people on-site where the event takes up half of the parking spaces that sit empty 80% of the year? Do you think making 610, kirby, and fannin wider will magically make it all better?Irish 2.0 said:Maybe COH/Harris County should get their **** together and work on a plan to fix that absolute nightmare that 610 and the parking situation is during HLSR.bigjag19 said:

No mention of the fact Marcus King made an appearance last night?
He's been the best performer to grace the stage this year.
Did I say **** about zero traffic? It is a matter of the ingress and egress of the parking and not properly managing the lots entrances/exits.cajunaggie08 said:in what universe is there a way to have zero traffic at an event that has over 100,000 people on-site where the event takes up half of the parking spaces that sit empty 80% of the year? Just about to post this. That dude is so badass. Saw him a couple years ago at White Oak and he shredded. Need to add him to the musical rotation. If you like Blues rock, check him out
