In regards to Bun B's Takeover: The actual show itself was great. All but a couple songs had the crowd up on their feet. The logistics however, were a nightmare. I don't think I have ever been to a rodeo that was this packed/congested. Just a sea of people everywhere outside and inside. In the lower levels people couldn't get up and down the stairs to their seats because people were just standing in the stairwell to watch the concert. Pretty much asses to elbows on the concourse, ramp, escalator, etc. Getting to the parking lot and out, same story.
The people watching? A++ . I saw some things I can't unsee. People in the tine have a lot of "confidence"

Agree.......I was in the lower level and was amazed that people were just standing in the aisles. That said, the show was f'ing awesome!

Haven't been in years. My daughter and I are going tomorrow… it's supposed to rain. Not sure about the logistics for getting in due and into the show. Anyone have suggestions.

Was in Section 123 last night. My wife made the grave mistake of trying to use the bathroom "right before the lights went out". The ushers/security or whatever you want to call them just straight up disappeared when Bun came out. People rushed the aisles into the lower levels. What a nightmare. Leaving was fun as well. We were heading to the Red line train and some people in front of us managed to cut some gates open that bypassed the crossover and into a grassy area by the loading station. Followed them and ended up on the train paddock. lol.
Also... $72 for 2 double crown and cokes...

Yikes. You need to get your ass in the club. That would have been 20 bucks up there.

I parked in the blue lot on Tuesday and I think from now on I will be going back to the Fannin park and ride that drops off by the dome. Pay $20 or $25 cash to park in the lot and the rail trip is free.Furlock Bones said:

I'm officially an old man - took the kids down just for stock show, lunch & carnival early today for a few hours … what a beating. Nuts to butts spring break folks and sh*tloads of daycare/big brothers groups. It was also hot as taint.
Those daycares always kinda stress me out. Like how do you not lose a kid in that mess? Just put a purple shirt on all them?

I parked at the Westin on the corner of Kirby and 610. It's $40, a short walk there and back and I was out of the parking lot and on 610 in less than 10 minutes after getting back to my car after Bun B.
Maybe plan to be there early next time
