have they played Rodeo before?
i've seen a lot of performers over the years really not handle the setting very well. the long distance from from most of the crowd is off putting to a lot of them.
i've also seen some absolutely kill it. one of the most surprising shows i've ever been to was Florida Georgia Line. I only went because a client and his wife were big fans. for as generic and bro country as they are they understood the assignment.
granted your rodeo/concert ticket gets you into the carnival for free. Kind of silly to buy a grounds pass to then go an buy a rodeo ticket unless you expect tickets to be $5 leading up to start time.David_Puddy said:
Any reseller is holding a ticking time bomb. The longer you wait, the better deal you will get. I'd go to the carnival or rodeo and pull the trigger on a ticket around 6 or so.

No, this was their first time. Whiskey Myers is great but NRG just isn't the right venue for them.
then yea it can be an overwhelming experience for some acts. it's just so different from their normal set ups.Hwy30East said:TXAG 05 said:Furlock Bones said:

I know this was their first time in the stadium, but they have played in either the Hideout, or the BBQ stage before if I remember correctly.
I forgot to include that in my review. They did waste their closing song on this cover song.Quote:
Did they close with Johnny Be Good?

Whiskey Myers feedback from last night?
Chairman's Club (700 level) is legit. Good food and a great variety of booze.
Whiskey Myers played too much off their new album and not enough of the classics. Acoustics (sound) was great from the 700 level.
