Time constraint is probably annoying for some. The other issue is that, as I understand, rodeo doesn't like to book acts that are playing nearby within months of rodeo; they want it to be a special draw.
So acts that tour heavily might have to decide if they want one rodeo date vs 2 or 3 dates in the Houston area, even at smaller venues. That I can see.
But I don't think they're having a problem getting top stars for the number of nights they want to. Early and midweek shows are often a gamble. I just doubt it's in the budget to have A list every night. Others on here know more about that than I do though.
