The Dome is still there, majestic as ever, biding its time. Some of us who sat in those orange and red seats still remember. We carry the memory of it with us in our hearts, the smell of it in our Pasadena-blackened lungs, forever.
Honestly, I'm glad its locked up. Its safer. If any of our newly-minted Houston-transplants stepped foot on that hallowed ground, they'd ****ing shrivel up and die from unworthiness. They haven't sacrificed enough yet like we have. Besides, I imagine Dave Ward sneaks in to drink and talk to old friends. And that mother ****er will kill you.

Name a better concession item than a hot & smokey from the Astrodome.
Best thing Lina could do at this stage is to send a crew in to salvage items from the astrodome and construct an astrodome themed restaurant in the GRB.
You go in and it looks like you in the dome.
Original dome menu items. Domedog, hot&smokeys, heavy syrup cokes, dome foam, french's brown mustard, the whole 9-yards. An exact replication of the look and feel of the original dome. Piss troughs with the ice . Sticky floor. The whole deal.
Do this Lina and you will be a hero to the people.

The most striking thing about this memory, all these years later, is that even as college kids without a lot of money at our disposal, the financial implications of such an undertaking were not beyond our means... we could actually afford to attempt this with the money in our pockets.
