Funny, I didn't go out much on weeknights in my 20s, unless you count going to happy hour when the boss wanted to talk/wait out the rain. But now as I've come to appreciate weeknights a little more for avoiding crowds or waits.

My greatest moment at Griffs was at St Pattys day party in the early 90s. Back in the day, you bought Griff bucks with real money before you entered so they could keep all the money in one place during St Pattys.
Some Rice guys we knew took some Griff bucks and headed straight for Kinkos. They became instant college millionaires. Walking around, buying girls beer. Getting kisses for beer. I just tagged along as the entourage. Free beer and a ton of kisses.

It was depressing as hell. Clientele looked like they had been sitting there and not gotten up since I was last there a decade ago.

I don't live in Houston anymore but this really sucks, one of our go to places. Is Teotihuacan up the street on Airline still open?

We used to love it when they had a special room for kids with movies and games. The waitresses would give them queso and quesadillas and watch them while the parents got drunk.MAS444 said:
Spanish Village was a Houston institution back in the day but it's better days have long since passed. There's just so many better options nowadays.
That sounds like a brilliant idea.HtownAg92 said:We used to love it when they had a special room for kids with movies and games. The waitresses would give them queso and quesadillas and watch them while the parents got drunk.MAS444 said:
