. Damn right. That's what makes it special. Occasionally I really enjoy entering mirrors to the past.Panama Red said:Have you been recently?Chewy said:

Stopped by in early December to to kill an hour about 500 on a Thursday.
It was depressing as hell. Clientele looked like they had been sitting there and not gotten up since I was last there a decade ago.
Really good though from what I remember. Or was I just drunk?Ferris Wheel Allstar said:gonna be difficult since their pizzas are made of molten lavaChewy said:

This is how the Shiloh Club used to be back when I lived down the street about a decade ago. Depressing as hell, but cheap drinks and the clientele made me feel better about myself. It was like a bunch of people who had just given up on AA.Panama Red said:Have you been recently?Chewy said:

Griff's, Kenneally's, and Shiloh Club in one thread? Sounds like a fun night. I need to hit those, West Alabama Ice House, Lola's, Warren's, Cecil's Pub, La Carafe, and Rudyard's before someone burns them down.Brittmoore Car Club said:This is how the Shiloh Club used to be back when I lived down the street about a decade ago. I'm getting old and enjoy nostalgia. Sometimes progress ain't always progress…
I need to go to the Loh again soon.Brittmoore Car Club said:This is how the Shiloh Club used to be back when I lived down the street about a decade ago. Is TBones really much of a dive after they renovated a few years ago?drumboy said:I need to go to the Loh again soon.Brittmoore Car Club said:This is how the Shiloh Club used to be back when I lived down the street about a decade ago. TBones is my dive of choice lately.

I'm already old and enjoy nostalgia. That's why I stopped in.
Should have kept the great memories rather than watching Barney from the Simpson hit on the aging bartender (who still had a great rack). Too many good bars in this town to go back and try to relive the glory days. I can pretend to be young and hip at much less depressing places.
I miss Thursday night pool tourneys at Cecil's when I lived closer, just before Covid. That is a great bar. Good to be on the bartender's good side. Would not want to cross her.Seersucker Ag 2011 said:Griff's, Kenneally's, and Shiloh Club in one thread? Sounds like a fun night.
