Since I don't care about the OP's topic, this is now a Houston Area BBQ thread:

Finally tried Witt Pit in Rosenberg, after having seen positive reviews from fellow Ags on Texags over the years.

Witt Pit is maybe the first high-rated bbq place I've been to that did not disappoint in any way. No wait; good prices; friendly service; and ****ing fantastic brisket. Neither the brisket nor the sausage needed sauce, but I had to try the sauce. Could drink the sauce. Even the green beans were damned good.

Thanks for the recommendation, whoever you are. Will be back.

Glad to see it finally opening. Saw the lights on tonight but wasn't sure... It is literally a 5 min walk from my house so we will be sure to give him some business.

100%. This board probably has 10 lurkers for every poster and if he even turned off a quarter of those, that is bad for the business.

I refuse to eat there on principle. I loved Great Harvest and ate there often. Their cinnamon rolls were awesome, as was their chipotle grilled cheese. Always left with a loaf or two of bread as well. Sucks they were forced to close.

Yes, true. I helped Chef Dave with some things. I've received nothing for said help, never asked for anything, and was upfront about not wanting anything from the get go.
