For some reason it just really bugs the hell out of me when people say proteins instead of meat.
Is that a hipster thing to say?

Firecraft BBQ is ****ing amazing. Dude is a competition winning chef who quit his job as the head chef at a swanky (non-bbq) place in Kingwood to open a food truck for bbq. We do multiple Thanksgivings every year because my parents cannot drive, so we always get a brisket from FireCraft for one of them. It's the greatest thing I've ever put into my mouth.
All that being said, opening this restaurant has been a comedy of errors. They've been trying to get this thing open for almost two years now.

Is that the squash? According to their website it's only supposed to come by the pan.
Mac looks terrible.
Tarpon will be here is a bit to sing praises for Tin Roof, but I've felt our bbq seen on the upper east side lacking since the Luling BBQ truck guy pulled up his stakes when his pit got stolen.

For the record, I've always said Tin Roof was basically B barbecue with Truth/Pinkerton's/etc being A+. It consistently solid but not something I'd drive across town for.

If someone on this thread is actually pissed off they should probably seek therapy.

Tin Roof is OK, but the best brisket in the area, IMO, is at friggin' HEB in Kingwood. Once Ol Boy opens up in the old Ace, that'll take the crown for the area, because the stuff out of the trailer when they were on NP was really good.

Yeah but we don't take your food recommendations seriously after that slop you posted to start this thread. That OG post looks like BBQ from Uncle Eddie's best Vegas buffet in town. Mac and cheese is EXTRA runny tonightTheFunnierPhideaux said:
Those ribs look terrible and fresh jalapeños are too strong for bbq.
See how subjective criticism of other peoples opinions is stupid?
If his success with JCI is any indication, Firecrap will be gone in a year.Anastasia Beaverhaven said:Yeah but we don't take your food recommendations seriously after that slop you posted to start this thread. Try the pulled pork sometime. If you're there on a Saturday get a chicken to take home. Not sure what Will does with chicken but it's a winner.
