Have any insight into an investigation associated with the director or deputy director of HPW? Had some severely subpar work in my neighborhood that they executed that turned into emails with my city council member and director/deputy director of HPW. I submitted a TPIA request for their internal emails and they filed with the state saying the emails were part of an investigation so they were requesting not to release them. It's still pending a decision by the AG office but I've been curious.

Hardly. Just interesting watching people bulk up.

This isn't a natural disaster situation where if you don't have power you can't boil water.

Boil it, pour it in a pitcher, throw it in the fridge and keep on keeping on.

There's no need to be buying up mass amounts of water.

In my experience, COH will do anything and everything they can to avoid releasing records under TPIA, even make up fake reasons for why they can't be released. I had a request from a year ago go to the AG's office, and the AG said they had to release some of the records. They still never produced them because they know it's not worth it to sue to get them.

Pro tip: You can usually walk into the nearest ghetto convenience store and find plenty of bottled water (or whatever beverage of your choice) when the grocery stores are on a run of panic buying.

It has been resolved. But TCEQ doesn't have a test for we are the largest city in Texas and need an answer immediately. You wait 2-3 days like everyone else.

SBISD notification says that they're hearing it won't be until closer to noon before it gets lifted.

Could be as late as noon. Not will be noon.

I have a family member who works for a service provider for a handful of local MUDs. Word is that the backup generators didn't kick on immediately and 14/16 pressure points were below 20 psi for 2 mins. The other 2 were below 20 for 30 mins.

His input is that's not the whole story and there had to have been some kind of catastrophic failure because power would've had to be down for a long time for the pressure to drop from 65 to 20 psi and then be below 20 for a 30 mins.
