I'm certainly not the authority on the subject, but I think that's got to be the worst stripper name I've ever seen.

Next up on the main stage, everybody get your money out, Oseikhuemen Omobhude!!!

So a 26 year old out on $250k bond for murder leases a 5 bedroom 4,500 sq ft home in the suburbs with his tiger and monkeys. Nothing suspicious here.

Also, is there anyone in Houston that isn't out on bond?
Cartel?

Was absolutely my first thought when I saw the bond amount and the age of the guy.

Dudes probably a sicario.

Another fun article on this...

https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2021/05/10/tiger-owner-spotted-in-houston-neighborhood-is-out-on-bond-on-a-murder-charge-officials-say/

Quote:

"Because my client was the one who caught this tiger, who went out and got it, brought it back to safety, everyone is just assuming that he's the owner of the tiger and that it's his tiger," Elliott said.
Geez... why would we think a guy who captured a tiger and sped away in an unregistered vehicle with the tiger would have anything to do with this? Just because he's not the "owner" of the tiger on paper doesn't mean the tiger wasn't staying with him and he's not complicit in it.

Cuevas was out on a $750,000 bond after a murder charge in Fort Bend County. Authorities said in 2017, Cuevas allegedly shot a man outside of a Buffalo Wild Wings on the Grand Parkway. On July 28, 2017, Cuevas was arrested at an airport when returning from Mexico and later bonded out. More recently, Cuevas was arrested in November 2020, for bond revocation. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said the investigation remains open.

Cuevas has had his bond revoked at least four times since the 2017 charge and has been in and out of the Fort Bend County Jail.
So this guy left the country while out on bond for murder and has had his bonds revoked at least four times? WTF? Four times? Have Ogg and black magic judges taken over the Fort Bend County judicial system too?

Texags has a lot of icons -- Ag Tag, 12th Man donor, AFS donor, etc.

But for tine posters we need icons to indicate what we're out on bail for (handgun, moneybag, car, etc).

That would be a nice feature in the next texags update.

Since Cuevas' arrest, his attorney insists his client does not own the tiger.

"I want help finding India," said attorney Michael Elliott, who on Tuesday disclosed the tiger's name.

Elliott claims the 9-month-old tiger is owned by another man nicknamed "D," who has texted "death threats" to Cuevas.

ABC13 was shown the texted threat, but could not independently verify it.
Quote:

Elliott said he finds it hard to believe that HPD lost Cuevas and the tiger during a chase.

"This is Houston, Harris County," he said. "They have police in every corner, Motorola radios, Fox (helicopter) in the air. How often do you see people running in an SUV that doesn't get caught? Something doesn't match up here."
Quote:

Houston police call Elliott's version of events "conflicting," but did not elaborate.

The whereabouts of the tiger remain a mystery.

Zero doubt in my mind some of the judges are. They're the ones overruling DA's in some cases. They were mostly a bunch of low-level street hustler defense attorneys with no real money or experience when they ran. They're only funding outside of Democrat party pacs was from the defense bar.

Must be a great time in Harris County to be a defense attorney for low level thugs. "Trial? Jury? We don't need no stinking trial. We'll just keep bonding you out."

Isn't bond supposed to be based on the ability to pay? Showing up in a Bentley sounds like a great way to get a higher than normal bond.

Or ability to pay the system and attorneys. " Bond was revoked and a new bond on the murder charge was set at $300,000 ". So I assume after posting the 30k plus fees today the cholo will be out again. Not sure why he hasn't bonded out already.

If I'm not mistaken, he did. Then the judge revoked his original bond because fleeing from police obviously proves he's a flight risk.

Low level hustlers may at least bring some intelligence to the job. I haven't spent much time in the court system, but I would expect that when I'm in there, the judge would be one of the smartest people in the room. Few things more frustrating than trying to explain the world to a dim bulb in power.
