At this point, the only thing HR should be asking him is which security guard/police officer he would like to walk him out.

If it gets reported to the media you bet they'll do something about it.

This is the correct answer. Media would love to call out government.

A. HR shouldn't be "asking"
B. Is this a government office? Does this office have contact with the public?
C. Spray him with Lysol everytime you see him. Get all coworkers to do the same.

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) recognizes the unprecedented global challenge associated with the current COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our partners, attendees, exhibitors, staff, and community are of the utmost importance, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected.

Considering the rapidly changing guidance from governments and companies, OTC has chosen to postpone the conference from 4-7 May to the third quarter of 2020. We are actively working to confirm dates in August or September.

Farmers market near me was pretty busy today. Lines for eggs and meat vendors when normally there isn't one. I'm sure they will run through whatever supply they brought with them.

Lots of people walking off with way to many vegetables that will likely wilt before they eat them.

Crazy times.

Brazoria County Health Officials announced Saturday that two people have tested presumptive positive for COVID-19.

According to a news release, both people lived together in the Alvin area. Both of them were tested after they reported feeling symptoms of the new coronavirus, officials said. They were tested at a Harris County health facility.

Officials said the two did not travel outside of Houston but did attend the Rodeo cookoff and events. The Brazoria County Health Department is conducting an investigation to identify other people who may have come in contact with them.

Went by our local Aldi today for our normal Saturday trip. They opened 2 hours late and were only letting 15 in at a time. The delivery truck was late and the manager said they weren't expecting another one for a few days.

Aside from no paper products, they had pretty much everything. Eggs were limited to 1 per family. Milk was 2. Canned goods was 4 per type. Lots of produce and they were refilling all the frozen stuff when I was there.

Tell him to clean his desk and have him escorted out.

Gov't employee. He'll get promoted next month

He would be the first govt employee in history to attend work beyond the bare possible minimum requirement.

In one of the Harris county briefings (maybe the one where they shut down the rodeo), Hidalgo said that particular case was (at the time) not cooperating and wouldn't share which tent he went to.

So...unless he started talking, everyone would like to know if they all went to the same tent.

Quote:

Officials provided an update Thursday confirming that the county's first presumptive positive case is an officer for the Patton Village Police Department. The patient is in his 40s and a resident of northwest Montgomery County. The patient's results are still pending from the CDC. On Friday afternoon, the Montgomery County Hospital District said the man is in critical condition. County officials say he has no travel history outside the state of Texas. The county also said it has reached out to the man's close contacts and those most at risk. They are in self-quarantine, being monitored by the public health district.

...

On March 12, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said the officer is not cooperating with officials, adding that he's not telling them which tent he was patrolling.

Someone outed him. I'm not going to post his name here, obviously, but he is a former LEO from a small town. He is married, but was attending cookoff with a lady friend...who is the positive case from Friendswood.

Both of their names were floating around several Facebook posts/threads today.

Edited to change Galveston to Friendswood

The scuttlebutt in Friendswood is that the cop from patton village is married, but was at cookoff with the girl from Friendswood that has it and he didn't or doesn't want to cooperate because he was cheating on his wife

That may all be rumor, but that is what my wife is hearing from the local ****s

Tomball ISD just sent out an email asking parents to self-report any travel outside the state of Texas. My kid flies back from Alabama tomorrow. I'm debating when to report. I feel like I need to observe him for a few days, first.

Heard through the grapevine at a friendly gathering (less than 100 people) that patient 0 from the rodeo cook-off is not doing well. Apparently has been intubated and in a coma for a couple days now.

Granted it's pretty much a rumor and not sure of the validity of this but hey off we're gonna panic then WTF.

The Chronicle is reporting that he's been unconscious for several days.

"Meanwhile, the Patton Village police officer who is in critical condition with COVID-19 has been unconscious for several days."
