Yeah, I don't understand how many from the "we can't open anything ever again because even if most people get very mild symptoms from COVID, we don't know what the longterm effects will be" crowd is willing to be first in line to receive a rushed vaccine.Bondag said:People that I know that have not left their house for 6 months and will still leave their mail outside for days on end are signing up for this in droves. From that website:
To develop a COVID vaccine, the FDA, drug manufacturers, and researchers across the country are all working together to fast track the normally years-long process down to just weeks.

They can't make schools do anything but it does ensure schools that decide to go online only get full funding because they are following instruction of public health officials.
Will be interesting to see what Tomball does. I think they're one of the last harris county districts offering in person from day 1.
I am surprised it took the NYT this long to make it about the social struggle.cone said:

From what I've seen Humble ISD has day-1 in-person plans. My kids (5th & 1st grades) will be there in person.

Hoping Lamar Consolidated holds out and sticks to their guns. Choose either all online or all in-school, starting day 1 on Aug. 22TXTransplant said:TarponChaser said:LostInLA07 said:

Tomball sent an email this morning saying they will be online-only until at least Sept 15.

My maid tested positive for COVID a couple weeks ago. She is recovered and tested negative. When is it ok to allow her back into my home? No one at my house has had it that we know of? I tentatively have her coming back Next Thursday July 30th
