Water was up maybe curb level around midday but gone back down. Hopefully this pause stays paused. Saw a video of Braes at Rice and it was pretty high but still within.

My company planned an off-site meeting today at City Center. The meeting spaced kicked us out at 1 pm because they were closing the building. I made it about halfway home to Westbury before I couldn't go any further. I turned around and am sitting at a hotel bar a mile from where I started.

Gonna require her to get creative. Probably head north to West View or Long Point Rd and then east over to Hempstead and down to Washington. No guarantee, though - most of the roads are backed up with Old Katy Rd closed and I-10 underwater at the railroad bridge.

Just don't try to make it east from south of I-10. Memorial, Wayside, San Felipe are all closed. Westheimer and Richmond recently reopened but are a total traffic mess - back ups for miles.

Yeah, Hillcroft has some low intersections between bellaire and Westhemer. I've seen it under water over there for ordinary heavy rain.
