best part is when he is about to drown trying to swim and the news guy walks out there and picks him up
By far, the best part of the video is when ol boy puts it into reverse while floating away to activate the magical Prius power to get his dumbass out of the water.Mr. AGSPRT04 said:

hey, if you're going to go on a multipage/multimonth conspiracy tirade, it's going to get brought up again and again just like your stupid posts were.94chem said:Furlock Bones said:

Don't forget that it was Buckley, PJ Tucker is still dribbling, and you'll be here all week.

Dude in the red Benz yesterday
I know you think you're funny, but a few areas got a lot of rain yesterday on already saturated grounds and several ISDs are closed from the water. Couple that with the high percentage of more storms today and people are playing it cautious so they don't have to possibly spend hours trying to get home again or risk losing a vehicle. I'll be honest, the thought of working from the house crossed my mind this morning, but I decided to come in. I'll have the radar up today, and as soon as I see a big yellow or red area going towards my house, I'm packing up and leaving.Gig-Em2003 said:

why would they be closed? most, if not all of Katy ISD got less than 3 inches of rain yesterday. Correct me if I am wrong, but the hardest hit areas where Sugarland and north up around KingwoodFurlock Bones said:
I noticed my old isd Katy is still going strong with never closing for any reason. Got to get those attendance days.

Flight on schedule. Hope yours is too.
They need to quit building in what little land is left. They've cleared the area next to the HEB and are looking to develop it. They need to just make that a retention pond and leave it be. IIRC, the apartments they demolished for HEB had a lake in it, which probably absorbed some of the runoff that now has nowhere to go. Then there's the neighborhood at Mills Branch and Lake Houston Pkwy. Tons of dirt was brought in to build that place up.chimpanzee said:Social Media Influencer said:

I see this going one of two ways for Kingwood. Either people stop listening to the NIMBY tree worshippers and build a few more substantial ways to get out of the place, or a significant percentage of people are going to leave.
On the plus side, protesting HCAD ought to be really easy.
That's Humble ISD as well. I texted my wife to see how things were and she said it's a ghost town and the student lot is empty. They didn't close but did say that being absent wouldn't count against you, so many students saw it as a day to sleep in and do nothing.Furlock Bones said:

someone tried to start the rumor that Katy ISD would be closed today last night and that got shut down rather quickly.Furlock Bones said:

What part of Elm Grove flooded? When I was a kid there were always areas that flooded, especially around the school.redag06 said:
There is a new Perry homes neighborhood being developed(just cleared) north of Sherwood & elm grove. What area had the majority of the flooding yesterday and DIDN'T flood during Harvey? Elm Grove!
Yeah, I've thought about that as well. There's a FB group that was set up after Harvey called "Flooding Kingwood with Kindness" and many on there have pointed that out as well. I'm sure some of it has to do with the amount of rain in a short time, but the developments going in has to also be a big contributor.redag06 said:
