it's been like 5 years, but i remember the patty having that real finely ground packed texture like it had been overworked or formed under pressure.

Burger Joint is my go-to because it's down the street from my house. Burgers are excellent but may not be the legends that some of the burgers mentioned on this thread really are. They do have a great draught beer selection.
Tried BuffBurger on Alabama today. Solid burger, good fries, good drink selection. Not as good as Burger Joint but not a bad offering by any means.

I really enjoy the Brix Burger at Brix Wine Cellars in Vintage. Delish
Not in Houston, but give TJ Reeds in Dickinson a try. Really good.

A friend got the burger at Heights Bier Garten theother day that looked delicious
I should love Heights Beer Garden...It checks all the boxes of the type of place that I would like...but for some reason... I just really don't like it much and I don't know why.

Hell yeah!
lived nearby and would hit it up weekly. Roof shaped like a barrel. Run by some asians that made a hell of a good burger.
they closed one day and seems like the place was demoed soon after.
