I also have a vintage Constellation with the pie pan dial. It's gold capped and I bought it because I wanted something that would complement my gold Aggie ring. The ONLY thing I don't like about vintage are the smaller sizes.

Warning, not cologne related:

I've always wanted a speedmaster but they seem common and I don't care for the standard steel bracelet. The new "First Omega In Space" looks great to me, and I loved the one I went to try on (may have bought it there if they had a steel bracelet). The main drawback is the lack of an exhibition caseback.

A similar "vintage" looks with the sapphire caseback is the caliber 321 "Ed White" but I somewhat prefer the domed hesalite look of the FOIS crystal, and it seems strange paying almost as much for steel speedmaster as I could for a two tone, about twice as much as the FOIS.

I feel like I'm pretty much set on the FOIS but I wish it had a sapphire caseback. What do y'all think?

If i like a watch the lack of an exhibition case back wouldn't stop me, but i get it. That chronograph movement is def one that would be a blast to see.

Yeah what gets me is that's the kind of watch where I'd like an exhibition caseback and I'm not going to have a 10 watch collection. I'm not rich enough to say that money is not a factor, but the main sticking point here is I prefer the FOIS style but I really like the 321 caseback with similar vintage looks

Go with the one that sings to you. Sounds like it's the FOIS. No watch is perfect. Have you tried them on? That's really key.

(But that Ed White is awesome).

Have one of these on my moonwatch, and love it. Helps reduce the thickness by about 1mm as well. Looks like they have one for the new FOIS as well.

Saw a pic of Nate Bargatze wearing a chunk on his wrist, so I hit the google machine. Apparently, in his specials, he has gone from Bretiling, to Omega to a Patek Philippe annual calendar. Guessing he has more. Watches are addictive.

Depends on what you mean. I DID go the Wako Ginza GS main store (where I tried it and numerous other watches on). Pretty badass. However, I ultimately walked across the street to a dept store for an extra 5% off. (Altogether about $2000 off what it would have cost in US.)

I did not go to the major manufacturing facility in far north Japan. (Wife in tow it was a no go and would have cost a whole day out of Tokyo.)
