I'm a 35 y/o VP. If you catch me in anything more than jeans or shorts and a t-shirt or polo, I'm likely at a funeral or wedding. Hell, I wear jeans and polos to conferences now because I just don't give a rat's ass anymore. We worked from home in our underwear for ~18 months and **** still got done.

My division continues to grow at over 10% annually and has been for the last 6 years. My employers don't care what the hell I'm wearing.

Love it. I've toyed around with getting a santos dumont on black strap as a dress watch. I tried one on the other day and it's wildly comfortable on my wrist.

Yes, everything is setup for super quick changes... No tools necessary. I admittedly underestimated the amount of cool engineering Cartier includes in their watches. I've been very impressed.

Price was retail that you see online. I probably could've shopped around and found a discount dealer but I appreciated the store having stock and spending a few hours with me trying on many different configurations (Tank, classic Santos in various sizes vs Santos Dumont, stainless vs bi-metal, bracelets vs straps, etc.). I'll pay a little more for those services.

I left the store Friday evening thinking I was getting an XL Santos Dumont bi-metal on strap but changed my mind after sleeping on it. Dumont was manual and I really wanted automatic. That was the difference for me.

Sounds right to me. I'd only wear it when I'm in a suit so manual wind would be fine for me. May still get one but I'm eying another dress watch at the moment that I need a little longer to budget for haha

I've got an automatic seiko field watch that doesn't get much play. Can't recall where I got it. It is the lightest watch I own. I'll check on model number.

I love the 5 series, cheap and looks good. Have a few of them

If I'm going that range, I'd rather buy a Rolex. Anywho

Hamilton is a great go-to for field watches, both their auto and mechanical models.

Let me know when you find a new Rolex that can be had for under $3k

Maybe look at Marathon GPM, Hamilton (many), Bulova Hack in the under $600 range.
