Put a ceramic bezel insert on the Seiko. The original came with a bit gouged out when I got it. I think I like it.

I'm not convinced that a sapphire crystal is the ticket for a watch that is gonna get beat on. There's been a few folks on here and I've read many other reports where a sapphire crystal gets dropped or hit juuuust right and it shatters and sends fragments into the movement requiring a full service. Scratched mineral glass seems preferable for applications where durability is more important than appearance. Also a little flitz on a rag takes most light scratches out of hardlex. Don't get me wrong though, a scratched crystal bugs me to no end...

Wow. I really like that. If I ever get the itch do modify my 007 I will look in to what you did there. I kind of love all of the bumps and bruises years of wear gave the watch though.

I forget the brand, maybe Spinnaker or something (nautical theme though) that specifically designed their watches for the knobs to point up the arm rather than hand.
