Not sure this is true. Omega used to use eta movements, but everything I've been researching, the coaxial technology was developed and that's when the in house movements started being included in all their watches… starting around 2007.

Just because the particular ETA movement is "exclusive" to Omega doesnt by definition make it "in-house."

Omega for the Win!!! This Speedy is Titanium, has a display case back and you have the OPTION to get it on either leather or a bracelet, something you can't say about Rolex or at least any one Rolex.

Omega makes outstanding watches.
My two biggest gripes with them:
1. Like Grand Seiko, there are way too many special editions and I quickly get lost in the product lines. Too many options.
2. They make too many pieces. If they'd cut back supply by 10% to be more in line with demand I think it would help resale value. No, I don't think they should have a years-long waiting list like Rolex, but seems like they could optimize supply/demand better to help protect the value for their customers.

Hope to be able to show off my new speedmaster tomorrow when it comes in, for now wearing the new 136660 Cameron DSSD.
Very very slight changes to the 126660 but I like the thinner case, the slightly thinner bezel, the beveled and raised crystal and the 8% larger date window.

I've enjoyed y'all's Omega vs. Rolex spat. I own two of each (and have previously owned four additional Omegas and two additional Rolexes) and needless to say I love both brands.
I could nitpick each of them (as you could with any brand...) - but I choose not to. A wonderful aspect of the luxury watch industry is that if something bothers you about one brand - you can find another that does it beautifully.

The watch is in! It's awesome I really love the way the sundials march the bezel, and moonshine gold is really shiny. It came in the standard speedmaster box which I thought was a little odd since it's solid gold, but the box is cool none the less, and my AD threw in a Breguet hat, even though I don't own one.
As cool as this watch is, seeing the moonshine gold I have to get the solid gold bracelet as well.

It's not Rolex watches specifically but Rolex owners/fanboys.

Agreed - enjoy them all. Love my Speedy and Milgauss. That is the beauty of the world of watches. Can focus on one manufacturer or spread the love. Overseas DT. Blue dial. I have not broken it

Absolutely love that and the VC blue is perfection. Really like their quick change bracelet to strap as well. Congrats on the awesome piece.
