I'm just not a fan of gold watches. I don't mind the more modern brushed finishes and the more modern black/gold aesthetics, but typical gold watches just make me think of company watches handed out when people hit 20 year anniversaries, etc. Grandpas look great in them though.
That green alpinist has always been one of my favorites. For the cost, I haven't seen much better. The blue one is also exquisite.

Yeah watch a video on YouTube. You will be able to see the play of light much better. I think the dial in the new ones is also gorgeous. You won't be disappointed if you like green at all.

That reminded me of this one that I used to have when I was in middle school. If I ever come across one that is reasonably priced in good condition I'll probably buy it just to have.

I just was about to order a CW watch, using that 100Loupe27 code. It came out to 930 British pounds, which should be around $1150. But when I hit submit my bank wanted to confirm I was making a $1800 purchase. Am I missing something?
When I did mine recently, I purchased in GBP throughout the process and then just let AmEx do the conversion.

Yeah, lots of problems with watch theft in the Europe, especially the UK. There are organized crime gangs that focus on watch theft. I wouldn't wear a Rolex in London.
