Anyone have thoughts on the new Jack Mason Strat-o-timer? I'm not looking for a new watch right now (lol) but just bringing it here for some thoughts or views if someone is interested.

I do enjoy wearing my Jack Mason. I am not quite sure I am ready to spend $999 plus tax on that brand though.

Update after about a week... I still love this watch. It's very comfortable to wear (thanks in part to the micro-adjust clasp) and looks great. I have really enjoyed it.

There were a few posters (myself included) that were wondering about the accuracy of the Sellita SW200-1 movement. I can say I am very happy with the one I received. I have not reset the watch since the initial setting on Friday, 10/14, and you can see where it sits in the pic below. It will usually vary between -1 to +2 seconds while wearing during the day (~16hrs) but then will settle back to close to 0 while stored dial up in my watch box overnight.

I love that I have Time.gov also pulled up right now

Yeah, I know. This watch has the Elabore grade in it, and not every one will have the accuracy I'm getting, but I'm very happy with mine.

I definitely want to add a blue dial at some point. Initially it was going to be a blue Omega SMP, but I think I have decided to hold out for a blue DJ41 at some point.

On those Nomos, I don't really like them other than this one. I appreciate what they are doing though.

I keep a time.gov tab open on my phone at all times.

Agree! Maybe one day, but for now I have to try to prioritize.

I get Seiko vibes from this watch. Nothing really aesthetically pleasing for me.

I like all those watches you posted. I have a grey faced Aqua-Terra and love it.

Just not feeling the Nomos.

An earlier iteration of the SBGK (the SBGK005) is one I've had my eye on for a long time. I posted a youtube review about 30 or 40 pages back but I love this one.

Having said that it can't compete with the turquoise on wow factor.

As long as you understand it's hand wound and extremely thin with the intention to be a dress watch, buy it.

That would be my other concern.

The dial color gives off a fun/sporty watch vibe but it's a manual wind dress watch with ~30m water resistance.

It is definitely a unique conversation piece but what's the setting for wearing it?

What's your every day watch in garrison? My OCPs cover my entire wrist. So not much room to work with. I might wear a nice watch to work one day a week. Just not worth them getting jacked up.

Yeah, 100%.

It's just a really unique offering so he was on the fence. Is this something cool that he'd love rocking every day or does it quickly become a niche part of the collection that doesn't make it out often.

One thing I would do is get a different strap. I think you could get something that works better with the dial than dark blue leather.

I wear my Hamilton Aviation Day Date anytime I'm in uniform, in/out of garrison doesn't really matter to me and I usually have my flight suit sleeves pushed up
