It is a 40.5mm case, but the lug to lug is quite large at 50mm making it wear like a 42mm watch I believe

Nothing overly fancy, but here's the typically daily driver.

My question for the group, I'm not overly interested in spending 2 hours driving to Houston (the closest big city) so I'm looking online for my next purchase. I know chrono24 is something to avoid and other like crown and caliber are known to be reputable. Anybody have any experience with Swiss watch expo out of Atlanta?

Yeah, I knew it was 40.5, I just rounded. I didn't realize the lug to lug was so long though. I'm sure it will look great.

I'd like to add a Speedy 57 to my collection one day, and that one is an early favorite.

I'm pretty sure Silian Rail just purchased that maroon speedy from Chrono24. I've browsed that site and seems legitimate to me.

Chrono24 is legit, but I only purchase on it from a few areas, mainly Japan where the currency difference offsets the tax and duty I might have to pay.

Patrick at OC Watch Guy and Nick at Nashville Watches are both legit. I have purchased several from each of them.

David and the team at DavidSW are great as well but you are going to pay more.

Chrono24 is legit. They take the seller through a series of tests to ensure they have the actual watch listed, then as the buyer you have some days after receipt to confirm the transaction before your funds are released to the seller (funds are held in escrow). I purchased from a private seller in Germany through Chrono24 and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

I've bought two watches off of Chrono24 in the last month, one NIB from Japan and a used one from the US. Both sellers were professional dealers who had over 1,000 reviews. I'd never buy from an individual or pay outside of their escrow service but would have no issue buying from a dealer and paying through escrow again.

It should allow for you to take it to a local dealer to confirm authenticity if you would like.
