The strap was a recent birthday gift.
Very pretty. It says red on their website. Is that like a blood red or maroon?

So gotta say, I love all my watches but one that I really have tried to like but to no avail is my SLGA015. I'm a big grand seiko fan, but this one is super expensive and has very little wow factor on the wrist. The Zaratsu polishing of the titanium is amazing, but it's only on the bevels of the lugs, and the rest of the watch is very dull.
The "wave" dial looks beautiful on the marketing photos, but is almost impossible to see in person. You have to have the watch tilted under direct light to actually pick up the details.
The 5 day power reserve is awesome, but let's be honest, it's a gussied up quartz watch so it isn't that crazy.
I enjoyed the sbga229 and 231 which are very similar, they weren't quite sub-killers they were made out to be but they were fantastic watches at $4-5k.
At $12k this thing doesn't really feel any better than those earlier models.
I'm going to keep this one because the resale is practically non existent, I've been tracking some poor dude trying to sell his for $10, then 9, now 8, I think this one sells for around $6.

I don't think I posted this one yet. I got this at the "Watches of Switzerland" right outside the BA lounge in Heathrow. I believe someone posted it on this thread before and I liked it. It was very cheap with the devaluation of the pound against the dollar, so I got it for around $4k duty free.

Yeah. I've been wanting this watch for a while (even posted about it on here), so once I saw the deal I couldn't pass it up.
It's up to GBP 850 now. Looks like they caught the loophole and closed it.
850 is the usual price. Try adding to cart and then applying the coupon code. I just did it 30 minutes ago, and people have been doing it since they were released in August apparently.

I had the same thing happen with the ice blue breitling I posted about a while back on this thread. I logged on and it was $12,000. I logged back on and it was 10,000; so I bought the watch and it showed up; next time I logged on it was $12,000 again. Now it's back to $10k.
That's possible. I also signed up for their newsletter and to receive their paper magazine in the meantime, so maybe the cookies in my browser linked to my email and I got some kind of deal? I don't know exactly.

one thing I HATE is when a brand as reputable as Zenith makes a knock-off. You don't need to do that, your stuff is good as it is. With the chronomaster they copied the Daytona and now with the skyline or whatever it's called they're copying the RO.

I'm heading to Austria, the Czech Republic, and Denmark around Thanksgiving. Assuming USD is still strong relative to European currencies, what are my best options to pick something cool up? I'm interested in a Speedy and a Rolex Milgauss. I could probably make my way to Switzerland if need be but currently isn't the plan. Is availability actually better over there?
