I was actually in a Ulysses Nardin AD last week and joked about those watches (after seeing them here). They did not have any in stock. The salesman actually seemed a little offended at my joking, and went on to present a lengthy defense of UN's voyeur pieces.

Does anyone have an Oris Big Crown Pointer with a red face? From pictures it looks pretty close to maroon. Also, I have a watch in the way from Chrono24, and I'll post an update if there is anything of note that happens in the shipping process. [note: not the Oris below]

I've bought a crystal from Crystal Times and done the swap. It's easy if you have a watch press. (Harbor Freight)

I haven't ordered because I tend to prefer dial markers to bezel markers on a GMT. At this point the Oris is probably next.

I was in Juneau, AK yesterday and saw a 226570 at one of the shoreside jewelers near the cruise dock. I stopped in and he claimed it was BNIB but it had no tags or plastic. He was asking $19,500. lol

Man that's a lotta change for a slightly different bracelet and matte black hands instead of shiny black hands.
You can get a barely used 216570 for about $12,500 down from around $18,000.
A little late to reply but I have seen the red dial big crown pointer date in person and to my eyes it is close enough to suffice for an Aggie game day watch. I have the watch with a blue dial and posted it here a while back to sell. I'm glad I didn't sell it because I bought the bracelet and absolutely love the watch. Oris also has this red dial in bronze I believe. I recommend the watch on a bracelet. It is a joy to wear.
