GMT is better, more functional. Daytona is trash. There i said it.
I wonder if the desire for the Daytona is circular - it's more desirable simply because so many people desire it.JSKolache said:

Probably because at the end of the day, functional excellence is only part of the equation. Style and design matter just as much as price and quality.
To many people multi colored GMTs aren't pretty. That's in addition to the fact that the vast majority of people aren't jumping on private jets weekly for business or pleasure and therefore don't have a use of the GMT function. We went on a 16 day vacation across 3 time zones. It was prerequisite simple to just leave my watch on Houston time and adjust mentally by subtracting 1 or 2 hours like I do every day for business.
Very few people use a chrono either, but for some reason that style is more appealing. Maybe it seems sporty or the way the contrast is appeals better than gmt wild color. I don't know myself, bur the looks of the Daytona and Breitling Superocean Heritage Chrono are more appealing than a Pepsi or batman gmt.

I'm wearing my Khaki Field Auto right now as well...
Its a really dark blue, you can really tell only when the light hits it. The bezel is black and without the contrast youd never know it was blue.schmendeler said:
Is that not black?

Been adding to my list of poor people to put on ignore.
Really it's only the tach bezel that gets me. Chrono is great, I like the chrono. But 0.00% of daytona wearers have ever used the tach. So at this point it's just clutter. Is there nothing more useful that could occupy the bezel space without killing the heritage?DVC2010 said:AgLA06 said:

Speak for yourself. Probably one day in 3 that I wear my Speedy, I find an excuse to time something.

Always liked those. Might have to make it my next watch.
