I think with a bezel that chunky, 37mm might be too small as a guy's watch. But maybe it could work. Though I agree with the above, not a fan of two-tone.
For the last 80 years, 37mm has been fine for a man's watch.

Sure. If you have tiny little bird wrists.

Let me guess. You have a nice dinner plate on your wrist you call a watch.

That's what i've learned here - 37mm is for beta male wrists

I'm not trying to throw shade. I'd love a 36mm Day Date and would wear it proudly. I'm just talking about visuals. I think a thicker bezel makes the dial look smaller, which in turn makes the watch look smaller overall. I think it would look smaller, visually than it really is.

Not at all. My sweet spot is 41-42 MM. anything bigger than that looks like something you find at a gas station.

Let me guess. You have an inflated image of yourself and are oblivious to that fact that people around you just don't get why you have some false sense of security and false confidence. You're lacking something in your life and you try to the fill the whole with a fake ego and sense of style…and then you tell yourself that other people value that opinion.

Relax, I'm partially joking with you. But honestly, nobody cares about your opinion here. Unless you're just trolling, in that case continue on. I enjoy the entertainment provided by a dedicated troll.

Sort of an aside I was reminded of by the 37 mm discussion - I'm always looking for older watches that have a slimmer profile but weren't necessarily expensive - watches like old Seiko quartz or things like that. Since y'all have all moved onto the next price bracket, anybody have some old stuff they'd be willing to sell?

I have exactly what you described, but it's not for sale. It was a gift from my parents when I graduated from A&M. They said, "It's not fancy but maybe you'll get five or six years out of it." Forty years later it's still running. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Agreed and Ihave a large wrist.

It's funny, I had always worn 36-38mm watches until I got my sub 15 years ago. Back then it seemed subs were on the larger side of things. Now my sub seems small as the watch market has shifted towards 44mm watches.

That's what I love about these watches! They all have a story. I like to clean them up and give them as gifts to others to get that story started again. Thanks for sharing yours.

Here's one of mine - my uncle and I have matching Northrop Grumman no-brand B-2 bomber watches. Super small, all gold, with simply a black silhouette of the B-2 on the face. But my grandfather worked on the B-2 and it makes this $5 junk priceless.

I have a 1960s Rolex that's 36mm and I will still wear it on occasion, but it's definitely on the small side these days. I don't have a big wrist and think 40mm is the sweet spot personally with most pieces 38-42 realistically working.

I actually bought an early 1950s Omega g6518 for my girlfriend recently. It was a men's watch back then and measures a whopping 32mm. Fun observation on that piece, it actually has an inscription on the case back from a wife to her husband for his 60th birthday which means if she bought it new then the original owner of that watch was born in the 1800s.

Are you still mad I made fun of the guy wearing a dive watch with a suit?

Listen, I am sure you wear you 46mm watches with your jordans think you're cool. And if you believe it, then you are. You do you. I'll do me. And I'll do it right.

And by the same token, if wearing women's watches is your thing, do what makes you happy.

FTAC / Speed, or any one interested.

I have decided to start unloading some stuff that I never use. Prefer bulk sale. I have all boxes and papers.

Class of 91 ag and verified.

Here it goes.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust - Superlative Chrono

Tudor Chrono - The Ducate Red/Black edition

Bell and Ross BR 03-92

Bell and Ross BR 03-94

All have pretty much been safe queens and never worn. Not looking to fire sale, so would prefer a reasonable ag offer with the understanding that you may need to on-sale.

Let me know if you are interested. I am in Houston, Heights area.

S Speed, I am really sorry. I dont know how to do that. I just send the technical stuff to my paralegal. But i am focusing on you and ATC. I am thinking 35G for all. I think there is a lot of value in the ducati, rolex and bells. but if i am crazy off, i am cool with just keeping it.

I don't have any 46mm watches, but If I did I'd rock it with my growing collection of Jordans. I'm an avid collector. Check out the sneaker thread on the entertainment board. Even is you don't like sneakers it's pretty interesting .
