Since 36mm is the classic size for an Explorer I, you could probably find some older information about the watch at that size. It only became 39mm in 2010.
Yeah, absolutely. I'm just worried that it will be way too small (my wrist size is ~7.25).

I like the increased power reserve and updated bracelet on the new version but not sure I can get past the sizing.

I'm not sure the 39 will ever come back and if not I might just have to jump at one when I see a decent price.

Makes sense. I have about the same size wrist, and I wear a Black Bay 36 most days. I think it looks fine. On the hottest days during the summer, it feels a tad tight. I bought another link, which is fine in the summer, but then it is too big the rest of the year. I think if the BB36 had that quick adjustment that the Explorer has, it would be perfect.

Next time you go to your Rolex AD, see if they have a BB36 to try on just so you can see what it looks like.

Rolex adjusted retail pricing, up $500-1500 across the board.

Which Tudor dealer typically has the best selection? I really want to see the Black Bay 925 in person. If you call, are they generally open about what they have in stock? I don't want to play the kind of games that car dealers sometimes do. "We had one, but it just sold!"

Zadok has a good selection and AJ definitely won't play games. He's way more watch nerd than sales guy.

This'll probably be my next big watch purchase. Throwback to an OG Casio and one made famous in Alien. This too can be yours for $75 or less, so take your time to ponder...

I finally got a subscription so I can post pics Texags actually has a pretty decent interface on the paid end, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Do yall ballas have Apple watches? I have a couple nice (to me) watches that I like but now I wear my Apple watch daily and every time I break out one of the analog watches the battery is dead.

Wife got me a really nice watch recently and I has her return it cause I would never wear it.

After a few years of neglect from my auto watches due to wanting to meet daily fitness requirements monitored by Apple Watch, I'm back to autos all day except when running with the Apple.

As far as watches being dead when you go to wear them, buy an automatic. Problem solved.

I had the same problem. I was wearing my Apple Watch so much that I, regrettably, sold an Omega on here a few years ago. I still wear it when I exercise but that's the only time it is on my wrist.

I planned on only wearing it for exercise & step goals for HSA $$$ but I'm so dependent on it for quick access to siri & notifications now that I can't go back.

It's an addiction, no doubt. "Missing" the immediacy of texts and notifications is something that we somehow survived before the Apple Watch. Just gotta revert back to the "old" normal for sanity.

I try and ditch my phone sometimes l, but not enough as I'd like. I need to go several days without it. It really is an addiction. No wearable tech for me.

I guess this must be similar to how alcohol is addicting to some and disgusting to others - my phone notifying me of anything more than a call frustrates me to no end. There were times the dang thing would vibrate half the day between all the texts, grouptexts, and GroupMes and I wanted to just chunk it out the window. Now I have it set to only alert me of calls.

And at least I can stick that in my pocket. If my wrist were vibrating or lighting up constantly while I was trying to work, relax, or spend time with people I would go insane.

yes alerts are the worst. phones that are constantly making noise are so obnoxious. Dinner with my mom sounds like you are at a ****oo clock factory.

For quite some time I would only wear my Garmin but I would get consumed trying to hit activity goals, competing with friends on getting more steps, etc. and missed the analog features of a simple watch. I did miss the vitals the Garmin would record during the day, and was looking for something to track my sleep patterns, and settled on an Oura ring (had whoop strap in the past but didn't want that again). Now I'm analog watch + Oura ring most days and I wear the Garmin during exercise or as a "beater". I wore an Apple watch for a while but hated being connected to my phone all the time and the GPS/HRM sucked (series 3).

does the oura ring track your recovery like the whoop strap did? Does it have to be connected to the internet or is a simple bluetooth connection to your phone sufficient? I want the whoop strap data without having to be connected to the internet as i am often places with no coverage.
K Bo

Yeah, the Oura has a "readiness" score that's similar to Whoop's recovery score. Similar to Whoop it's based off previous day's activity, quality of sleep, and HR/HRV.

I don't believe you need to be connected to the internet to transmit between the ring and the app, but there are some online features that would require internet connection. I'm still in the infantile stages of learning this thing.

To keep the thread a little on track, I ordered the Uncle Seiko jubilee for my Back Bay GMT and it arrived today!

Hey guys, quick question about Rolex availability. I assume practically zero availability for stainless sport models, but what about two tone yellow gold? Is a two-tone yellow gold sub (black dial) practically impossible at retail as well? Also I have zero buying history with the ADs.

Dont think there is any availability for any Rolex from an AD unless you are a regular buyer from them. And even then, probably not.
