I don't know if College Station would have a different dynamic but in Houston my assumption would be that you would need an extensive relationship and 6 figures in your purchase history. But FTAC, Joe, and some others would know better than I do.
I'm looking for probably the least desirable Rolex out there: the Air King. As an alternate, I'm looking at the needlessly expensive Yachtmaster.

When I bought my last Hublot from him he mentioned that I had to see the new chronomaster and he put my name on the list. It came in yesterday to his shop, and I decided to at least take a look at it, so I bought it and should get it next week.

Definitely my favorite microbrand. They are about to launch a new chrono I'm thinking about picking one up.
I actually do not like zelos. I bought into the hype and dropped like $4k on one of their premium offerings and was not impressed.

For me, the fit was fine, the finish terrible. Just a dull, ugly watch.

They also offered a 10k Swiss tourbillon. You can buy a tag Heuer tourbillon for similar price tag.
That 8day reserve you bought is similar price as an Oris skeleton high reserve movement which obviously oris is a very well respected and well known name.
I just can't get into their high price stuff.

Ok, not exactly what you were looking for, but I think this new one from Christopher Ward is interesting. Injected carbon case, Chronometer grade Swiss movement, recessed crown, and maroon second hand on the maroon strap is sharp and fairly unique.FTAco07 said:

i actually like it on that rubber strap. hmm.
I put it on the strap after I got it to see if it helped. Didn't help. Strap is extremely cheap and flimsy.

Yep I don't dig that watch. I really dig the mako v3. The problem is I like all the color schemes that are currently available, with the exception of maybe the white one, just because I don't like white dials
