I just do not get the Royal oak. I might be the wrong age or something but it just looks like a really outdated take on something modern to me.

Agree. While I do love Rolex, it's a mass produced watch, and nowhere in the realm of AP, Patek Philippe, and FPJourne. I do agree this watch has a bold look so maybe not for everyone.
Reference is 26170ST.OO.D305CR.01. Comes complete with box and papers from 2013.

Fair enough. That is what makes this "hobby" so interesting for some. I agree that some RO's can definitely be a little off the reservation.

I have an ROO and it wears like a $400 watch. Literally cannot justify the price with the aethstetics.
I find the extremely hard to believe if you seen it in person and had it on your wrist. Do you fee the same way about the nautilus?
