Hello everyone.
If you are are unaware of a podcast called "Acquired", it is a very popular podcast that only comes out once a month. When it comes out, it is a deep dive (as in 3-5 hours long) on a specific company from it's beginnings to where it is now. It is very well done.
Why do I tell you this? Because they just dropped their latest five hour episode on ROLEX. I'm only about halfway through, but it is pretty awesome. I had no clue about most of the stuff in it.
Worth a listen. And for you luxury people - this is a LUXURY watch thread after all
- they have done episodes on Hermes (Feb '24) and LVMH (Feb '23) as well. In addition to many tech companies - Meta, Nvidia, etc. and retailers - Costco, IKEA, etc.

I finished the episode this morning. Long time acquired listener but only thought this episode was ok. Not as much company specific stuff and lots more watch history and much less company/financial stuff since they are so incredibly private.
Loved the Porsche, Lockheed Martin, Costco, and LVMH episodes the most.

Years ago, I had a Gerald Genta Bi-retrograde jumping hour. I loved watching that watch snap back while the next hour jumped into the window. Never should have sold it..
Alright guys I have an interesting update on the white speedy group buy….But a few downsides:
-The box has to be engraved as it's would have to be a corporate order.
- the price would only be 10% off instead of standard 18% off. This is because my cost is much higher on it too. That would put the price at $7290 each. This is still an insane price for this one new.
- I think I could only order 10. If there is more interest I can do my best to see what I could get.
Would these concessions work if I can get it? Would we have 10 people?

Two questions: Would the box engraving be something TexAgs related? Is the $7290 for a Speedy on a steel bracelet or a leather strap?
