I bought this NIB from someone on WatchUSeek and saved about $100. I feel like this is the smaller strap (although that wasn't specified)

Yeah, the Miyota movement is meh. But, I'll wear this in a rotation and reset the time fairly frequently
The GMT is a Soprod. I didn't realize that they used Miyotas as well in other watches.
ETA: I've got a beads of rice bracelet that I'd let go for $75. I bought it with mine and don't care for it.

This watch was time graphed at +11 seconds per day. So, about 5.5 minutes fast per month. better than 15, but still not super great

Same deal. I rotate my automatics just about daily, and I'm too cheap / poor to buy winders, so I pretty much have to set them every time I wear them.

What's the thought on Tissot watches?
I like them, I think they're a great bridge from "i kind of like watches" to "i'm interested in luxury watches". I would put them under Nomos, Oris and Longines and obviously Tag Heuer, but above CH Ward, and Bulova, Victorinox and Movado.Scruffy said:

Great assessment. I bought Tissots for both my dad (Gentleman) and girlfriend (Chemin des Toureles) who each wanted a nicer dependable watch, but not a very expensive or (what most of us might consider) luxury watch.

I have a Tissot PRX and I love it, but I would quibble with your rankings. Tissot is a mall watch. A good one, but a mall watch. Bulova and Movado competitors. CW, Rado and Mido are way above Tissot.
I think that only makes my point. Mido is only available at select, usually high end malls in the US. You don't find them in every Zales and Ben Bridge. I've checked them out in Europe, where they are much more ubiquitous and their quality is far above a Tissot. As is their price point.
