Curious what the gurus here think.
Looking to get a dive watch most likely omega seamaster or tag aquaracer. I know most here hate tags and omegas seem to get more love but I like the looks of both (although I need to go try them on as evident from my post above) and that my sway me one way or another.
Here's my questions that y'all may be able to give me insight on.
I'm left handed and wear my watch on my left wrist so I obviously want something durable and that will last and not show signs of wear too terribly. I know it's gunna get banged up, dragged on desks etc just from my simple day to day activities that I do considering I'm left handed. Would one of those two watches I mentioned be more durable over the other. I read something about the bezel on the tag is ceramic and the omega is aluminum? Ceramic supppsed to be tougher?
Also would it be a better option for me to get a quartz over automatic simply from the abuse it will get since I do everything with my left hand?
I don't think Omega has an aluminum bezel option anymore on their current models, although tag does in their entry level aquaracer I believe.
I would stay away from titanium as it scratches easy, but any stainless steel ceramic bezel dive watch will be more than durable.
Also, I think the Tudor Pelagos has a left hand version, that you might like so the crown doesn't push into your wrist.
The Pelagos is a great watch, and checks all of your boxes.
