Carter & Cooley in the Heights is a bad ass deli. Right across the street from Torchy's.
quote:get the Submarine, it really is unbelievable how much meat and cheese they can stuff on a sub and still have it taste like heaven
I have been to brown bag, and it's good, but it always leaves me wanting a little something else. Plus they keep raising their prices. Need to try Carter and Cooley's

Chelsea's in Kingwood has good sandwiches and don't charge you $10 for it.
quote:This is so true. Zero's is essentially what Schlotsky's would be if it was made by people who love working with food. Give it a try if you've never been.
Stop in a Zero's if you're in downtown. Bread like Schlotsky's but better.
quote:Make sure it is the downtown one though. The one in greenspoint was a let down.quote:This is so true. Zero's is essentially what Schlotsky's would be if it was made by people who love working with food. Give it a try if you've never been.

I'd vote Kenny & Ziggy's as the best deli in Houston, but it may be out of the comfortable price range for some.
quote:No offense, but is this a troll/joke? I realize the sandwiches are like $2.50 or something but I picked one up at the TC Jester location one day and it was the most basic/bland sandwich I have ever had. My mom slapped together better sandwiches when she was in a rush. I would put Jimmy John's WAY over this based on my one experience. Hell, I'd rank it well below Subway. But I went when the place was just a few months into business, so maybe I should try again?
