An update for this thread. Dropped into Kolache Shoppe on Richmond and Weslayan this AM. They've redone the inside and added a lot of new stuff including venison and kielbasa kolaches. The venison, jalapeno, and cheese is my new favorite in Houston.

Edit: And I think it's Aggie owned.

Olde Towne Kolaches are pretty dope for a Shipley's alternative. They even have gay ass cream and fruit filled danishes.

little donut shop across Richmond from Costco has the best kolaches in my opinion.. really, really good.
