Tonight, I was reminded why the Black Angels are my favorite Austin-based band. Dear god, two great shows at Cactus Records and Warehouse Live. I'd never heard Black Mountain before, but they were fantastic as well.

Check out both bands if you never have.

Louis CK killed it last night at Verizon Wireless Theater. 90+ minutes of brand new material and I didn't stop laughing once. I really hope that set makes it to a DVD or special.

They have a link on their site to another website that is streaming the new Girl Talk album and includes an updated list of the songs being sampled at any given time in the Girl Talk song. There are 372 songs sampled on the new girl talk album which includes 12 new songs.

I've heard Girl Talk is allowing free downloads of this new album and the previous albums have been on Napster, but not iTunes. I wonder if this has anything due to the 15 accountants he would need to calculate his royalty payments for all the songs he samples. Interesting for sure. This type of music is a direct reflection of the ADHD nature of our society today. Great music for a roadtrip or for a party, but definitely not recommended for putting you to sleep.
