Anyone else heading to the Megadeth / Anthrax show tomorrow night at Verizon? This will be my first time to catch Megadeth live...looking forward to meeting Dave and seeing them perform.

Is Slayer on that bill too?

Jetch, they are and Slayer is the headlining act...I just never got into their music. Short set by Anthrax.

Here are the set times per Live Nation:
Doors open to the public at 6:00pm.
Anthrax is on at 6:55pm.
Megadeth is on at 8:05pm.
Slayer is on at 9:30pm.*

If you haven't been by the renovated fitzgerald's, get by for a show. Omar and Jagi did a good job with the place, and I hope they do well.

Worked the shows Friday and Saturday nights. Good support from the houston music scene. The Drums were bad ass if you like their music.

....And on Saturday, Golden Axe killed it as usual.

the neck is fine...but what a long day this was coming off a Sunday bender = texans/cowboys + Megadeth meet-and-greet + Anthrax/Megadeth show. Mustaine was cool as was the rest of the band.

I requested 'Addicted to Chaos' to Mustaine...he just smiled and said 'you'll have to wait and see, but I love that song too!' Then Ellefson (back with Megadeth for the Sonisphere shows and this leg of the US tour) laughed and said 'WE don't even know the setlist until we walk on stage!' I then debated on whether to tel Ellefson that they've been playing the same setlist the past several tour stops and offering him the insight of checking the internet to figure out his own set list before each show....I decided against it given the audience as I didn't know if they would agree that was funny or see me as a smartssa.

I did get my concert poster signed among other things...will post a pic when I have time to recover. It looks great.

jetch is pretty pumped about this Deftones show tonight. Been trying to convince me to go on email all morning. I honestly think he is going to lure me towards the entrance and just push me in.

yeah i think im gonna go to skyrocket tonight since there's nothing else going on.

on a side note the band name skyrocket did remind me of Afternoon Delight.

so I found out that the official papa roach buzzfest after party is at the bar that my band is playing.

so I have to learn last resort and scars so homeboy can get up on stage and sing while we play hah.

this should be interesting. If only it was a band I actually liked! how cool would that be.
