I used to work for the health department so I visited plenty of shady areas. An added bonus was that I was informing people that they had potentially been exposed to an STD or HIV.

The worst places were the Houston Housing Authority apartments. We had to have a police escort to go into them but we were on our own when it came time to leave. I also visited many 24 hour book stores and a few crack houses and lots of strip clubs looking for girls named Sugar. Everyone always assumed I was from CPS though. Those were fun time!

I lived in an apartment right around the corner on West Little York. That was the shadiest place I had ever been. I was solicited for sex and a place to stay by the lady across the hall, who also had two kids and I had never talked to before.

Good times.

I rode the Metro from the airport to downtown.

man that's nothing. not houston, but i rode the greyhound from mobile to new orleans when i was in high school (15+ years ago when new orleans was really rough). the bus station in new orleans makes houston's look like a day care.

The "El Presidente" club on Spencer Hwy near 45 South in the early 80s. Went with my Mexican neighbors to watch wrestling. Everyone was throwing beer at the wrestlers. It was great.

Grand opening of the Axiom in the warehouse district. I think it's still open. Back in the late 80s it was a great hardcore club. Saw MDC one evening with Dresden 45 opening and a riot damned near ensued when a bouncer grabbed a giant mofo with a mohawk GF's breasts. Pretty cool stuff for a 16-year-old to witness on a school night.

But 2 points of previous posts. 1-I just recently worked a shooting over a bad drug deal in the Mesa-Green River Rd. area and helped out on a large Narcotics raid (multiple local, state and Fed agencies) in the Cloverleaf area.

AOE my grandparents house was the one across from that church on Green River that had the large lot next to it. The Freemason lodge was next to it also. I think the pipe yard bought up the whole street if I remember correct.

He spoke a rare tribal language. He spoke to some other African. That African translated into a language that my friend spoke. My friend translated it to English.

There are no animals around there other than cobras, fish, black mambas and vultures. Everything else was killed and eaten years ago during the famines.

He is there to prevent fights over fish and stuff like that.
