New Musers format sucks
Hoping it'll get better now that we don't have so many weekly filler segments with Ed Werder, David Moore, pigskin panel, picks w/ P1s, etcPhat32 said:

Dallas Police Department's Public Information Officer tells me, "There are no known threats at this time," directed at Mavericks GM Nico Harrison.

This comes despite ESPN's report yesterday on added security measures due to "death threats" ahead of Saturday's game vs. Rockets. https://t.co/Ka1scX0OEL

"And by the way, let me just double down on that reporting. Because I've been ripped because Dallas Police Department told some wannabe journalist that 'There's no known threats to us.' Uh, folks, the Mavericks have security that's literally been at the highest level of American law enforcement. The threats did not raise themselves to the level where they felt like they needed to be reported to police. But I guarantee you and I've heard from multiple sources that he's received death threats."

I really wanted to listen to this segment to see if they'd apply any bit of skepticism.
I was wondering the same thing during the interview, but then felt dumb for thinking the Musers might actually challenge or pushback.Jeff99 said:
So, I take it that the Musers didn't challenge Tim on his party in this story at all, did they? I'm guessing they didn't ask him about the "wannabe journalist" comment.

To be fair, there were 4 Dallas PD police cars in front of the dallas mavs HQ and policemen in the lobby area when employees showed up at 8am on Tuesday and were there most of the day.
I know this because my friend works for them.
So, not sure why the PD was there unless there were credible threats against Nico.
True. But it wouild make sense there had to be some semblance of a threat as there was nothing there on Monday.powerbelly said:Anyone can hire off duty cops...Rudyjax said:

And? I think they are the only band to have their debut album go Diamond. They are pretty good.ftworthag02 said:

First album was good for about 5 years.
Then it just became garbage.
Not sure what happened.

Intrigued by this statement so did a bit of research. MB20's debut album did go Diamond (meaning 10 million+), they're far from the only band to do so. Others include Guns N Roses (Appetite for Destruction), Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory), Hootie (Cracked Rear View), Boston (ST), Pearl Jam (Ten), among others.VP at Pierce and Pierce said:I think they are the only band to have their debut album go Diamond.ftworthag02 said:

Never before heard someone who has so little yet acts like they know more than everyone else about every single thing.
Agree with this. A couple weeks back they started the show talking about their night out in the French Quarter. How you can turn an interesting premise like that into a mind-numbingly boring conversation, I don't know. But they found a way!The Pilot said:daltonhughes18 said:

Try listening to 1-3, everyone but Monty is terrible.
I think the biggest that the ticket had going for them was they were amazing story tellers.double aught said:Agree with this. Mino and Sean also don't have good stories to tell. BAD would always poke fun at Mino and ask him if he even left his apartment for the weekend.Rudyjax said:I think the biggest that the ticket had going for them was they were amazing story tellers.double aught said:Agree with this. Corby's trip to the airport (not the billionth time after 25 years of listening) is interesting.
These guys are not good story telers.
