So now the Cowboys suck, the Rangers suck and the Mavs suck... anyone know if the Stars are any good?

Every bit of potential logic to the deal is undermined by who they traded for - a guy who misses far more time than Luka and has a much shorter career window left.

Unless this is a casualty of the rsn implosion. The Adelson's can afford it but could the Mavericks? Adelson's are probably less willing to pour money in to make up for a shortfall than say Cuban would. They are here to build a casino not win NBA titles. Anyone seen any comments from Cuban, btw?

No owner in their right mind would self-sabotage the value of their franchise like that (who was very recently in the NBA Finals).

Then what is your explanation for the trade? I'm not saying the moving to LV theory is correct. But this trade is literallly the worst trade in the history of sports. So obviously people are grasping at straws.

I don't even care that we traded Luka. I'm just disgusted that Nico literally talked to one team and got nothing in return for a generational talent.

Maybe. I think there is more to it than stupid judgment. Who can be so stupid to trade the player that all GMs would take as the #1 pick in a league wide draft going forward for a 32 year old and a worthless first round draft pick? And who is stupid enough to only talk to one team (literally one team) when trading a player that all teams would be interested in? Role players have literally been traded for 5 first round picks and we have Luka away for AD and one worthless first?

It doesn't add up. No one can be that dumb. I think there is much more to it but I'm not sure what that "much more" is.
